A diploma in nursery teacher education (D.El.Ed) or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in early childhood education are the most common qualifications required for teaching at the pre-primary level. These programs typically include coursework in child development, teaching methods, and curriculum planning. Some states also require that aspiring nursery teachers pass a teacher eligibility test (TET) in order to be considered for teaching positions.

In addition to formal education, some states require that teachers have a certain number of years of experience working with young children before they can be hired as nursery teachers.

It’s worth noting that some private schools may have their own criteria for nursery teacher qualifications and experience. They may require teachers to have a degree or diploma in a specific field, such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia teaching method.

Overall, becoming a nursery teacher in India requires completing a diploma or degree in early childhood education or a related field, and some states may also require a teacher eligibility test or a certain number of years of experience working with young children.
